Guitar players I tried to emulate

Let’s make it clear: I am no professional musician, I play for fun. I enjoy it, ok? I try my best…
This is a photographic list of the guitar players I tried to emulate during time. They have brought me where I am now. But it’s not over. I go on studying and exercising (when I have some free time as a father and family man). Therefore, I’ve also included some guitar players I’m currently trying to emulate or that I will tackle in the next future to find my inspiration. The list is in the order I have approached them in my life.

True, some of the very best are last. But I’ve grown up listening to some Italian music and I’ve discovered or approached them later in life. Better later than never!

The first guitar player of the list played in a very famous band of my country (the Pooh) and I am sure many blues-rock fans would say I should be ashamed of having played their music. Actually, many consider him to be the best Italian guitar player and he has been voted the best European guitar player for a couple of times in the past! Thanks to having tried to play his licks, I have been able later to approach the world famous guitarists that follow him in the list…
